Dr. Ina De Los Santos

Dr. Santos is all about creating new smiles and happy patients, and she consistently goes out of her way to make appointments a positive and productive experience no matter what someone needs. She knows you’re going to feel right at home in her chair, and below, you can learn a little more about her background.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Santos says that she decided to become a dentist because of her mom, who practiced dentistry back in the Philippines where she grew up. Dr. Santos spent a lot of time in her office and often found herself assisting the assistants! There were plenty of fond memories, but when the family came to the U.S., her father strongly encouraged her to go into nursing. Dr. Santos was set on dentistry, however, and thanks to the support of her mom, she’s proud to say that she now gets to follow her passion every day.

Where Did You Study
Dentistry?

Dr. Santos attended the University of Texas at Austin before earning her dental degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. She has since taken advanced training focused on sedation through the University of San Antonio Health Science Center. Today, she is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

What Do You Like to Do Outside of the Dental Office?

Dr. Santos’ fiancé runs a Korean barbecue restaurant, so they often go on dinner dates that they refer to as “research and development.” She is also into crafting and is always looking for new projects she can do with her Cricut. In her head, she’s usually planning her next trip as well, so she constantly recruits friends and family to explore new destinations with her.
